Got a link to an online challenge with a medium-level LeetCode problem (Product of Array Except Self) to solve in 20 min. Thankfully, I have done this problem before. After that, the recruiter scheduled a phone screen with an engineer. After we chatted about the role for 10 min, we jumped into a coding question, which was to write an iterator (in Java) for a list of lists of integers. Even though I was able to write good code before the end of the session and there was a good conversation, the recruiter said NO the next day. Perhaps Facebook is looking for very gifted individuals that can figure out very difficult problems without breaking a sweat, and that is certainly not me.
