Software Engineer Interview Experience

February 13, 2017
Neutral ExperienceNo Offer

Process

Quick 15-minute phone screen with a recruiter.

The recruiter asked some multiple-choice questions about Android development.

I was approved for the next stage, a technical phone screen interview.

An email with extensive interview preparation material was sent.

The technical phone screen interview was conducted via a screenshare platform, where I was asked two different algorithm-type questions.

The first question was rather easy and involved a standard hash table.

The second question involved bit manipulation, which I had not expected.

Even the interviewer had trouble giving me hints or help.

I was not accepted for the next stage, the onsite interview.

Questions

5 Multiple Choice Android Development/API questions.

2 Algorithm/Data Structure Questions.
