Pros: Interns treated with just as much respect as FTEs. Have more fun events as an intern at FB than the FTEs do. Company phone loaned to you for the summer. Feel like you have a real sense of freedom and potential to change the world. Felt like my voice would be heard and respected if I voiced diversity concerns.

Cons: - They don't have a PM internship program (otherwise I'd want to stay forever). - Feel super pressured to do your best (maybe it was just me?). It's intense to the point of potential burnout. (Good news is you can reach out to many resources, such as your HRBP, if you feel this way! Don't go it alone, everyone! Reach out! It helped me a lot.)

Pros: Good pay and benefits, remote work, and access to people on many teams.

Cons: The team was not well prepared for onboarding interns remotely, and it made for an isolating work experience. Individuals seemed to not interrogate the ethics of their work too heavily. I recall asking a team member how they felt about the fact that Facebook had profited off the pandemic due to everyone’s increased online presence, and they simply responded, "That's the way it is." I had hoped for a more nuanced response and perhaps thoughts about how Facebook could use those funds to improve the ethics of its platform.

Pros: Good experience, learned a lot, great colleagues!

Cons: Difficult commute in the Bay (traffic).
