I was referred in October. They reached out, and we scheduled a phone interview a couple of weeks later.
The questions were easy. The interviewer did not really know Python syntax but never told me. When I was writing out my solution, I might have said something like, 'Okay, so I only want this for loop to iterate through the rest of the list,' and written something like array[i:]. A few minutes after I wrote it, he asked me what that was doing and took five minutes to understand it.
First, I did a brute-force approach to the problem and then optimized it. All my complexity answers were correct. I was rejected the next day.
