You get an initial interview close to where you live, and then they fly you over to Menlo Park. Flying and interviewing at Menlo Park was a waste of time, since I answered all the questions, but then they said they had too many other good candidates. The place seems dated (old Sun building), not very well designed, and filled with people who think they are cool and changing the world, but it feels more like a software sweatshop: open space, peer pressure, overworked staff, and crowding. I wonder what will happen to them once they get out of favor on the stock market. They seem to be wasting a lot of money on unrefined processes; the company still feels immature.
