Pros

For a new grad coming out of university, there is no better place than Facebook to jump-start my career.

  1. Great food, three times a day. This is the norm in big tech, though, so nothing exceptional here.

  2. Awesome idea of a bootcamp. All new people, regardless of their experience, start in an 8-week-ish bootcamp. This is ideal for ramping up on the company-wide infrastructure (since almost all the software in Facebook is homegrown). Also, you get to choose your team at job fairs. How cool!

  3. Transparent culture from top to bottom. I have not faced a single experience in my time here so far (~1 year) where I felt the company was not taking care of me.

  4. Perks, perks everywhere! Too many to list.

Cons

Impostor syndrome is a real thing. Find your strengths and find them quickly. There are brilliant people all around you, so there is not much use in trying to be excellent everywhere.

Advice to Management

Management is focused, positive, and has a good long-term vision.
