Pays well, I guess.
Very intense culture. Expectations are each year higher and higher. Work-life balance is suffering hard.
Extremely disorganized. Teams do not collaborate well with each other and often have competing roadmaps and priorities. Projects get de-prioritized midway through all the time with no respect for the engineers' time and commitment. Priorities get changed so often it feels we're never really going anywhere, just walking in circles.
The leadership is constantly making poor decisions, and there is absolutely no accountability for them. Engineers are the ones fixing the mess and taking the blame.
Getting promos is just a very slow process nowadays. Some people wait over two years for a promo, even though all their peers recognize they're clearly already performing at the next level.
There's no engineering culture nowadays.
Benefits keep getting cut every day.
Good. I had 2 algorithm interviews, 1 design interview, and 1 behavioral interview, with small coding questions at the end. The office in London is very nice. Algorithm questions involved tree traversal, which I needed to know really well. My sugg
Tree question. Couldn't give tips at all. Interviewer was disconnected and condescending for each reject in 45 minutes. Really terrible candidate experience. There have been few good experiences with Meta.
There were 5 rounds of interviews. The first round was with HR. The second round was a technical round with architecture questions. The next round involved a coding interview with detailed C++ 17 and C++ 20 features.
