Developer productivity is given great importance. There's a dedicated org for ensuring developers are highly productive, ironing out latency issues in VS Code, building new extensions for flagging syntactical issues, lint issues, exceptions, and latency/performance issues, all within VS Code. All this means time to write code is dramatically reduced; there's no worry about spinning up new instances, provisioning distributed machines, or setting up development machines, etc. It's a great company in terms of perks, despite the broad macroeconomic downturn. We have a £2500 wellness benefit and a £2600 travel benefit, pension match up to 6% (employee) with a 9% employer contribution with Fidelity, and great insurance (Level 4 with Cigna for dentist and WPA for health).
Low value of RSU negatively affects total compensation [stock component]. The market doesn't believe in the potential of the metaverse.
Better communication within the company and outside on the development in AR/VR. Strategic initiatives to improve the underlying foundational technology for superior graphics on VR.
Good. I had 2 algorithm interviews, 1 design interview, and 1 behavioral interview, with small coding questions at the end. The office in London is very nice. Algorithm questions involved tree traversal, which I needed to know really well. My sugg
Tree question. Couldn't give tips at all. Interviewer was disconnected and condescending for each reject in 45 minutes. Really terrible candidate experience. There have been few good experiences with Meta.
There were 5 rounds of interviews. The first round was with HR. The second round was a technical round with architecture questions. The next round involved a coding interview with detailed C++ 17 and C++ 20 features.
