Facebook is accelerating the downfall of Western civilization. Line managers are hit-and-miss and generally clueless. It's a very political environment. Fifty-plus hours a week is considered a slow week.
Actually, practice what you preach about your management values. Don't cozy up to politicians; they'll turn on you just like you turn on your employees if things go wrong.
