Pros

Pool of talents in core business, open source contribution, culture.

If you want to learn something quickly in a hard way, this is the place. If you want to work hard, get recognized or promoted quickly, this is the place.

Cons

Work-life balance, leadership vision, metric-driven strategy. If you want to live a balanced life with your hobby, don’t come. If you want a company where you can stay for the next 5-10 years, don’t come. If you want to follow your passion and work on things you feel are right, like automation or prototypes, unless you can prove their revenue contribution and convince leadership, don’t come.

Advice to Management

Focus on doing the right thing for the long run instead of short-term revenue. Hardware investments are mandatory. Hiring the right talent, especially leadership who can control direction and resource allocation, is better than the same salary for ten average employees.
