Competing really brutally for scope and projects. You may come up with really great ideas, but in order to proof the value of your ideas and how to justify whether to invest in those ideas is really challenging. Many great ideas get dropped because there are even better ideas from other people. Fighting for scope and survival of your projects is real. I am working in an infra team though, so, ideas/projects mostly come from engineers.
