Where there are people, there is BS. There's no exception for Facebook. However, it's just much better than other companies, I believe.
My first year at FB was a disaster because I chose the wrong team, and they had very bad management (Data Infrastructure). The manager was not there to help you; they just wanted you to have a significant contribution. If you couldn't do that, they didn't bother to figure out why and help you but tried to kill you. I changed to a different team the second year, and it was a totally different world.
