Pros

The opportunity to work on interesting and challenging problems. An intellectually stimulating environment. Great perks and shuttle rides make life more efficient. The company is in a good spot in a large market. The CEO has great vision.

Cons

The good, old "open and focusing on impact" culture is fading away. Senior-level engineers more and more often have to fight against each other for projects or reinvent the wheel for the sake of fulfilling requirements versus real technical/business needs.

Managers brought in through nepotism have little to no people management experience and skills and have had a negative impact by playing politics.

There is no clear mechanism in place to stop these viruses from spreading.

Advice to Management

Add checks and balances to keep managers' performance in check. Employees at FB typically can easily land external opportunities (and better compensation) and don't bother to stay when running into issues, although most of the time the issues have been disguised as performance challenges or issues on the employee side.
