Facebook's products are used by more people than anything else. The company's mission – to connect the world – is good. There are many, many choices of projects for software engineers, and you get to pick your team.
Facebook is a big company with rules. If you are a software engineer, you are compared to all other software engineers. If you do part of the job of a software engineer and part of the job of something else (PM, manager, analyst, etc.), it will be hard to evaluate you. Also, it is common to have a lot of manager changes.
