High compensation leads to employees expecting and demanding more and more perks, creating a somewhat toxic environment.
Many employees do not have much perspective on the greater world. One senior engineer claimed that they were "poor," which I found ridiculous.
As evidenced by the Russian election scandal, the company as a whole has very little understanding of the side-effects of its mission. "Open and more connected," but at what price?
