Pros
  • Work with some of the brightest minds in the industry.
  • The scale of things is hard to wrap your head around; not many companies operate at this scale. It's cool to experience it firsthand.
  • Good benefits and perks.
  • Incredible amount of internal tooling (could be a con for some).
Cons

As much as they try to not make it about striving towards PSC targets, it's impossible not to alter your work style/scope around it.

It kind of feels like a sinking ship in recent months (see stock price) and has taken a toll on employee morale.

Work-life balance is very team and role dependent. It can be good or it can be hell, but it shouldn't come as unexpected with the high salary.

Advice to Management

Be more honest and transparent about the company's direction. Sometimes it feels like big decisions are made in reaction to external factors instead of being carefully planned ahead of time. For example, hiring at an insane rate and then suddenly slamming on the brakes and reducing headcount while asking folks to be more "intensive." Many people saw this coming months before action was taken to slow down hiring.
