Have more fun events as an intern at FB than the FTEs do.

Company phone loaned to you for the summer.

Feel like you have a real sense of freedom and potential to change the world.

Felt like my voice would be heard and respected if I voiced diversity concerns.

• They don't have a PM internship program (otherwise I'd want to stay forever).
• Feel super pressured to do your best (maybe it was just me?). It's intense to the point of potential burnout.

(Good news is you can reach out to many resources, such as your HRBP, if you feel this way! Don't go it alone, everyone! Reach out! It helped me a lot.)

Give your interns a chance to do some big stuff.

Have a little faith in them, and suspend your disbelief.

I interned at Instagram this past summer and, long-winded story of how I got there short, I got the chance to form really great relationships with some of our execs because they didn't write me off as a silly intern with unrealistic ideas when I brought up some of my feedback.
