In my position, I had a lot of influence in hiring and terminating employees. I have been exposed to dubious decisions in that area by upper management; actions taken without good heart and with conflicts of interest. This behavior could only thrive in our cult-like company, where truly speaking your mind could hurt your career. Quite ironically, the values of giving constant feedback are encouraged at Facebook, but in reality, employees are afraid of giving negative feedback, as they know the potential devastating consequences of doing so. Negative feedback will be given about technical decisions and ideas, but not about managerial decisions or the human resource department, from fear of upsetting the wrong people.
Get more involved in what is actually happening in your offices. Teaching a certain set of company values in Facebook bootcamp is step one, but it must be followed through with understanding why those values aren't implemented in the day-to-day life in the office.
