I had the opportunity to work with a modern cloud-based environment, as Micron uses Google Cloud Platform instead of traditional on-premise systems.
During my internship, I was also exposed to tools like DBT, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, which are valuable experiences that strengthened my understanding of data engineering workflows.
My mentor was very dedicated and supportive, and I truly learned a lot from both the technical and collaborative aspects of the team.
The internship duration was relatively short, which limited the scope of contributions that I could make. I would have loved to stay longer to deepen my involvement in production-level projects. Besides, there are frequent social events that may not suit everyone’s preferences.
During the interview process, there were 3 managers, 1 HR, and 3 candidates in total. The managers and HR were pretty nice. They were all behavioral questions, not technical questions.
1. Online interview with managers (1 hour) + 2 senior coworkers * Managers take turns asking questions related to data (Hadoop, Google Cloud Platform...) * Clarify the job description 2. HR phone interview (15-20 minutes) Asking cooperation experi
Interviewed with 2 other candidates and 2 hiring managers (1 hr). It’s been a while, so here’s what I can recall: * Started with brief self-introductions from all candidates. * Followed by 1–2 short questions for each person. * Hiring managers
