Pros

Supportive colleagues who are willing to share knowledge and think of good ways to solve issues together.

Cons

A senior manager knows to keep asking the engineer questions and expects the new hires to answer him on the spot accurately and clearly without finding the information. Unfortunately, if engineers are unable to do it, it means that their performance is bad and forces them to work overtime daily to submit a daily summary. The truth of the fact is that this senior manager has already handled so many NAND products a long time ago and then never gave proper guidance and documents to the new hire engineer. Someone just broke the rules based on the target set.

Advice to Management

Some senior managers have extreme mindsets and keep blaming new hires. New hires have the same salary as other engineers, but their workload is higher than a senior engineer's, and that is a manager's misconduct issue.
