I applied through an employee recommendation link. After submitting my CV, I got a first interview where they reviewed my qualifications.

Even though I thought this would happen later in the recruiting process, I was asked to solve a programming problem. At the end of the interview, the recruiter suggested I apply for another job, considering my abilities were useful in other areas.

It would've been nice to get a heads-up about the technical question and that I should have applied for a different position.
