The interview process consisted of four onsite rounds. I would categorize them as:

• Design: In the design interview, I was asked to design an application while facing increasing constraints. This was intended to assess my thought process and ability to devise novel solutions to problems.

• Work Ethic: This interview focused on scenarios, such as deciding between two designs when parallel paths were not feasible. The emphasis was on setting aside personal beliefs and relying on data to guide the correct course of action.

• Technical: The technical interview was the most challenging. I was questioned by a stern engineer about my knowledge of mechanics and thermodynamics.

• Motivation: The final round explored my motivations for wanting to work at Microsoft and pursue a career as a hardware engineer. I was asked about my vision for the future and how I would contribute to Microsoft through my design skills and character.
