The process began with an online coding assessment, featuring fairly straightforward, timed questions.
This was followed by a screening call with a recruiter, where we discussed my goals and career ambitions. My recruiter was extremely friendly and welcoming, and helped me through this interview a lot. I was told to expect to hear back in four to five weeks, once they had finished this round of recruitment.
Four weeks passed, and I hadn't heard a word. I contacted them asking for an update, and all I received back was that I had been "shortlisted" for an interview.
Three whole months passed, and they finally got back to me to schedule final round interviews. At this point, I had already interviewed (and received offers) at other companies. When I told them I had accepted an offer and wanted to withdraw my application, they responded that I should have told them I had pending offers, and they would have sped up the process!
Honestly, I was in disbelief with the lack of communication throughout the whole process. Perhaps I would have asked them to speed up the process if they had been more transparent with me. I understand that they have a lot of applications to get through, but the least they can do is give rough estimates of how long each recruitment step will take.
