I applied to an ad for Berlin and learned later that this ad was for multiple locations in Europe, with no open positions for Berlin.
They contacted me with an email for a quick phone screen almost a month later. After that, they sent a Codility test, which I passed easily.
Following the Codility test, they set up four interviews as a "hiring event." Due to COVID-19, all interviews were to be conducted online. The day before one of the interviews, it was cancelled. I completed the other three interviews but did not receive feedback for ten days.
After that, I emailed the recruiter about feedback. She informed me that she had moved to other projects and that another person would contact me regarding it.
After another week, I was called by a different recruiter. He stated that the feedback from the three interviews was positive and that they wanted to schedule a replacement interview for the cancelled one. He mentioned I would be contacted for that interview in a couple of days.
Two weeks passed with no contact. I could not remember the new recruiter's name, nor did I have his email. However, I used the "Contact Recruiter" button on the Microsoft Action Center to inquire about the interview. That was almost a month ago, and Microsoft has not contacted me since.
It has been almost five months since I applied and approximately a month and a half since I last received contact from Microsoft. I am very disappointed with how unprofessionally my application process was handled.
