The interview process consisted of four rounds:
I interviewed for the Azure Compute team.
The managerial round felt more like another technical round, where the manager seemed to be demonstrating his OS knowledge. It appeared as though he was interviewing for a kernel developer role, which was unrelated to my work experience. The manager seemed uninterested, yawning and coughing throughout the interview.
Some questions were asked that were specific to his team's work. An outsider without sufficient domain knowledge would find it difficult to comprehend these questions within 10 minutes and devise a design, especially for something likely built by a team over time.
He also asked questions related to C/C++, which is not my area of expertise.
Overall, it was a very poor experience. It seems the manager spent minimal time reviewing candidate profiles to ensure a basic match before scheduling interviews. This was a significant waste of time.
