Software Development Engineer Interview Experience - Bengaluru, India

Process

My interview at Microsoft took one day.

There were two rounds, both focusing on algorithms and data structures.

The first round was tricky, and the second was medium.

What I noticed was that both interviewers were not interested in getting to know me. They didn't ask me anything about myself, such as for an introduction, my experience, or projects.

They simply wrote a question on paper, and that was it. The interviewers seemed very busy; one was roaming around and returning periodically instead of sitting continuously.

In the first round, I tried my best to answer the tricky questions, one of which was based on dynamic programming and the other was logical. My answers were satisfactory (I verified them on GeeksforGeeks.com), but it seemed the interviewer was not in the mood.

Advice: If you don't want to hire a candidate and judge them properly, don't invite them and waste their time and efforts.
