Software Development Engineer Interview Experience - Cairo, Cairo Governorate

Process

The interview process seems excessive for a low-level opportunity in Egypt.

This is an unknown lab, not actually "Microsoft". However, they will go through many processes, and in the end, you will only be contingent staff.

It is nonsensical, and the process is too much for a no-name lab that hires people as contingent staff while leveraging the "Microsoft" name.

Questions

I sent my CV to the HR email for the Advanced Technology Lab in Egypt.

A Codility exam was then sent to my email. The exam included questions about Machine Learning, such as five multiple-choice questions. Following that, there were two easy problem-solving questions.

After the problem-solving section, there were two debugging questions. These involved provided code with a limit on the number of edits allowed.

The final stage consisted of three interviews with three different engineers. During these interviews, you might be asked one or more coding questions. The last interview focused on system design.

Common question topics include LeetCode-style problems, DFS, BFS, DP, and Trees.
