A recruiter contacted me after a friend at Microsoft shared my resume.
First, I had a phone interview with the recruiter. She asked simple questions about my current job, followed by some basic technical questions, such as "What is XAML?"
Next, I had a phone screen with an SDET. This was an opportunity to ask more about the job and the team. The SDET then presented me with an algorithm question and asked how to test it.
Several days later, the recruiter contacted me again, inviting me for an on-site interview.
The on-site interview lasted from 10 AM to 6 PM. I met with five people. Initially, the schedule was for three interviews, but if performance was strong, they arranged additional meetings.
During the on-site, I was asked algorithm questions, with very few test questions.
I received a nice offer two days later.
