Process

First, there were simple filtering technical and HR interviews in Alexandria.

Then, I had five interviews with five different managers at Microsoft in Cairo.

  1. The first interview was the hardest and got on my nerves.
  2. The second to fourth interviews were normal. I was asked some generic, technical, and brainstorming questions, and I replied quite well.
  3. The fifth interview was the best one. It was only half an hour and had a single question, with a lot of humor from the interviewer. It felt like they were saying, "Thanks for holding up the previous four interviews, you are almost accepted."

We were seven candidates.

After three interviews, five had left. After the fourth interview, the sixth left. Only I remained, receiving the offer and accepting it.

The offer was later cancelled as I had obligatory military service for one year.
