Process

The phone interview was with a lady from the Office group. She sounded uninterested.

There were some resume questions, and that didn't go so well. However, after a long time, I was invited onsite.

The questions included reversing a string, atoi, and others. I was very impressed with the free sodas.

I had a lunch interview, then met the big boss in the end. Overall, it was a great learning experience!

Pros: Interning at Microsoft was a fantastic experience. They have enough events to keep you wildly busy, and the Intern Signature Event this year was Daya and the Chainsmokers. Overall, a very wonderful experience full of learning with lots of great peers and coworkers.

Cons: It's not to say that all interns experience this, but my manager was absent a lot, so I had to struggle on my own.

Pros: Interning at Microsoft was a fantastic experience. They have enough events to keep you wildly busy, and the Intern Signature Event this year was Daya and the Chainsmokers. Overall, a very wonderful experience full of learning with lots of great peers and coworkers.

Cons: It's not to say that all interns experience this, but my manager was absent a lot, so I had to struggle on my own.

Pros: As one of the world's largest software companies, you feel that what you are doing there is making a difference. The work is challenging and interesting, and the rest of the staff is made up of very bright people willing to help you. It also has a very fun and laid-back environment. The free drinks are awesome, though they may make you gain some weight if you abuse them.

Cons: Your success as an intern depends a lot on which product group you're on; some managers are much more demanding than others.
