Process

The initial step was a 30-minute on-campus interview at my university. From there, it actually took quite a while (over 3 weeks) to hear anything back. This delay was the only negative part of the process in my eyes.

Once I heard back, they set up a date and confirmed that it would work with my schedule. They flew me out, provided a great hotel room, a rental car, and reimbursement for food. Despite the rental car, a bus was available on the morning of the interview to bring me to Microsoft's campus, so I didn't have to worry about driving.

The interview itself consisted of lunch, followed by four 45-minute interviews. Between each interview was a 15-minute break to get snacks and drinks – this was extremely helpful in making the process easier.

Afterwards, the recruiter informed me that I would hear back by the end of that week. I then actually got back even earlier than that, which was great as I didn't spend a long time waiting for a response like with other companies.

Overall, a very well-done interview process.
