Process

There was a career fair at the school, and I was attending.

At the MS booth, I found an appropriate position and dropped off my resume.

Several days later, I received an email to schedule a phone screening interview.

I was asked several questions about OOP concepts and sorting algorithms.

Following that, I received an email from MS inviting me for an on-site interview in Seattle.

There were three interviewers for the on-site interview.

Questions

The first interviewer asked about data structures like linked lists, queues, and binary trees. They requested that I code a queue and a circular queue.

The second interviewer asked about the Least Recently Used (LRU) Cache. I was not familiar with it, so they explained how it works and then asked me to code it.

The third interviewer asked about function pointers in C/C++ and how Java can emulate function pointer behavior. They also inquired about Java's ability to pass parameters using 'call by reference' or 'call by value,' and how Java passes an object's address.
