After sending an email to the HR manager, I received a screening form with questions about my personality and experience, followed by four programming assignments, two of which had to be solved. Upon successfully completing the screening, I was invited to the Microsoft Campus for a five-hour interview with four interviewers.
Three of the interviews began with a short talk about myself, during which I could ask questions about the interviewers themselves (who were Microsoft engineers). Following this, they presented a code problem for me to solve. Each interview focused on a specific area: algorithms and data structures, testing, and general software architecture.
The last interview was with the manager, focusing on my fit with the company. This interview was more about my personality and how I handled different situations.
A variation on one of the problems that appeared in the screening form.
