Software Engineer Interview Experience - Germany

November 10, 2014
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The process took around a month.

I was referred by a friend and had a screening interview on campus. It was straightforward.

I was then invited to an on-site interview. I was interviewed by four interviewers there. All questions were straightforward, focusing on linked lists and string manipulation. Although I thought the interview went well, as I had answered all questions correctly and also had very nice conversations with the interviewers, I did not get an offer.

Questions

Numbers represented as linked lists.

Write a function that takes two numbers, represented as linked lists, and returns their sum, also as a linked list.

For example:

function(1->2->3, 4->5) => 1->6->8
