Pros: Financial stability, gain work experience, and easy to move around within the company if you come back as Full Time or another internship. My team was kind, and my manager and mentor were very encouraging of a healthy work/life balance. Very flexible with working from home or in-person work, but I heard from other interns that this was really up to the organization you land in and your specific team.
Cons: Big tech. The work I did was kind of boring and I found I wasn't too passionate about the area I was in.
The company is full of older generation folks, and not that diverse, even though they claim to be. My team didn't do many team bonding or fun outside of work events for interns, which I was bummed about, especially since it was the first summer that the internship went back to primarily in-person.
Overall, just kind of meh.
