Software Engineer New Grad Interview Experience - San Francisco, California

Process

The first interview is with a recruiter. They have very little technical knowledge and mainly just validate your resume and help place you on a team. You don't apply to a specific team; the team or recruiter chooses you.

Then there is a technical screening where you talk to an engineer. They will ask you technical questions about the role. Mine only asked one "interview DSA" question, which was about LeetCode Easy. They made me verbally solve it but not code.

Several "big idea" questions about front-end frameworks followed (I assume they wanted a front-end engineer, which I am not).

After this, there is a technical interview in which you code, which I did not do.

Questions

The first call is with a recruiter who will ask you about your resume. As long as you can talk about what's on there, you will pass.

Tech screening involves simple DSA questions which you will verbally solve.

Then, there are several conceptual questions about the team you will be interviewing for.
