Came to the coding part halfway through a 45-minute tech screen. I had a bad feeling when he mentioned coding, as the remaining time wasn't long.
The coding question was: given a valid Binary Search Tree (BST), a target value, and a target distance k, find all nodes having a distance k with the node having the target value in the BST. Both parent and child nodes count, and the output order doesn't matter.
I spent the rest of the time but didn't work this out.
After looking it up afterward, this seems to be a medium-to-hard LeetCode (LC) problem. I don't think 20 minutes would be enough to come up with the correct solution and code for anyone who isn't an LC pro.
