Contacted by Microsoft recruiter and was invited for one hiring event with 4 interview rounds with senior software developers in the Microsoft Redmond office. Engineers were nice and friendly. Coding questions were to be done on a whiteboard. I received a verbal offer from the Microsoft recruiter on the second day but have not heard anything back in a couple of months for further steps. Although engineers were great, there is still much scope for improving the very slow and inconsistent recruitment process.
