I was recruited at my school a week before our career fair. I spoke with the campus recruiter, and she arranged my first on-campus interview, which took place at my school.
The on-campus interview lasted 30 minutes, consisting of about 10 minutes of behavioral/experience questions and 20 minutes for a short programming question. It was more of a warm-up question and not too difficult.
A week later, I received an email stating I had advanced to the final round in Seattle, where I was flown out.
There were four 45-minute interviews starting at 8 AM. The atmosphere was overwhelmingly positive, making the day not too challenging.
All interviews were programming-focused. Two were easier than the other two, but overall, the interviews were not as difficult as I had anticipated.
Microsoft covered all meals and tourist expenses for the day.
I interviewed on Monday and received my offer call on Friday, indicating a relatively quick response.
