Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

Recruited as part of an on-site hiring event.

Was told that the interviews went well and that I would be moving forward with an offer, with a call to be set up for salary discussion.

Was completely ignored for weeks, and the call never came.

When I finally got a reply, it was some vague response about internal issues preventing them from proceeding with the offer.

I did not expect this from a large company like Microsoft. I was surprised they weren't able to place me in another position, especially since it was a hiring event with multiple teams.

It was a waste of time, considering they reached out for the event and I took time off work to interview.

There was poor follow-up, and the recruiters lacked cohesiveness. Other recruiters wouldn't care about my situation if they weren't working with me directly.

It's 'SOL' if your current recruiter is doing a poor job.
