I applied for the position on Microsoft's career website. The recruiter reached out to me and scheduled the initial screening round.
Round 1: Phone interview (30 mins)
Virtual Round of interviews (3 interviews) I received a response from the recruiter within a few days stating the team was interested in interviewing me further. This was scheduled for July 23rd. I received an email from the recruiter on the 20th saying they were canceling my interview as the team had elected to move forward with another candidate. This is a very unusual situation, and I feel it is inappropriate for the team to make a decision on my capabilities without even conducting the interview.
String manipulation question.
Easy level question.
Signed the non-disclosure, so I can't be specific.
