Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

I applied for the role and was asked to fill out a skills survey.

A phone interview was set up but was rescheduled by them at the last minute.

The interviewer was nice. There were no behavioral or technical questions; it was essentially them repeating the survey and retyping my answers.

I redescribed my experiences using all the tech listed in the job posting, and they said the information would be passed to the hiring manager.

It was also clear they had not looked at my resume, as they asked if I had experience with specific technologies when all my projects utilize them.

The interview concluded in less than 10 minutes, and I received a rejection email an hour later.

I assume this was due to my lack of one year of experience. Was this not an entry-level role?

Seriously, why go through the whole process?

Disappointing.
