Pros: My internship is virtual this year due to the pandemic, but I feel that Microsoft is trying its best to make it a comparable experience for the interns. The team is exciting to work with and very accommodating. I worked on a challenging project, which took much effort but allows a good work-life balance, and I feel myself contributing to the team. Working hours are customizable. There are many online intern events, even more than a regular year. The experience surpassed my expectations, especially under this special work-from-home condition.

Cons: It's a big company, and it's very well structured, meaning that it can be complicated to get used to all the procedures or get in touch with people outside the immediate group. I visited the employee cafe during my on-site. The food is good, but it's not free; employees need to pay for lunch, which is not the case in other tech companies, as far as I know.

Pros: - Great work environment. - Free hotel stay and breakfast during entire internship. - Get a chance to work with intelligent and smart people.

Cons: - None as of now

Pros: * The intern project was challenging but achievable. * There was great support from the team. * It was a large and diverse intern cohort. * The pay and benefits are among the best I've heard of.

Cons: Things move very slowly; could be waiting a week or more for the basics (e.g., desk, laptop, badge access, benefits, etc.). Hard FTEs say promo can be a pain.
