Software Engineer (Internship) Interview Experience - Cairo, Egypt

Process

The interview had several stages.

First, it was an hour-long online test consisting of some MCQs and two problems to solve. After passing a certain score, I proceeded to two interviews with two junior software engineers.

The first interview went well. The second one was difficult because I was fasting and tired during Ramadan, so I performed very badly. What surprised me was that the interviewer mocked me and said, "You seem to know nothing about this topic" (referring to hash tables).

Questions

I cannot remember much, but one question was about how to know if a string was a rotation of another.

Another was how to make a copy of a linked list where a node that we don't know points to two nodes: the one after and one before.
