I went through my background as a software engineer and discussed the position.

He is a senior manager on the team and was looking for someone who was up to date with the latest .NET Framework and had experience publicly demonstrating a new technology.

I wasn't using .NET 4.0 at the time, so I didn't pass the phone interview. However, it was good experience to learn what aspects they were looking for in a candidate.
