As an internal referral, the call was quicker than expected. The HR representative was very calm, soft-spoken, and provided all the necessary details for my job interview preparations. Thus, thumbs up to the person handling the schedules.
The first and second rounds were telephonic. Since the HR had briefed me well on expectations, it was smooth sailing. I was then called for a skill test, which was followed by a one-on-one with an individual. This was also well-briefed and handled.
After clearing these rounds, I met with a Professional Resource Development Manager. For reasons best known to her, she chose not to ask any QA-related questions. Instead, she concentrated on development-related questions and my previous experience, such as what I did, why I chose to leave my first, second, or third company, and why she should hire me.
She asked me a few coding questions and inquired about .NET architecture (after I briefed her about my open-source background) and SQL (after I briefed her about my non-Microsoft technology background).
Following this, I waited for a good three weeks. I was told that the hiring manager was still indecisive. After 18 days, I received a rejection stating that the hiring manager's feedback was not that positive and the ranking did not match the profile offered.
Few coding questions.
.NET Architecture questions (after I briefed her about my open source background). SQL questions (I told her about my non-Microsoft background).
