You really get the sense that the senior management cares about the well-being of its staff. Diversity and Inclusion are taken very seriously here. Work-life balance is excellent. Lots of encouragement to stretch yourself and try new things. A great place to learn new technology and take on a new career direction. Internal mobility is good. A lot of people move around, including internationally.

• It can get very political, especially in the orbit of "corp" (i.e., Redmond).
• There are still some old-school managers who haven't embraced the new Satya era ethos and treat their teams badly. Bad managers can really affect your enjoyment of this role.
• Role priorities and structures change frequently, which can be confusing at times.

In general, things are very good.

Beware of adding so much process and admin overhead that people start to feel like faceless resources. It's beginning to move in that direction.
