Microsoft is THE tech company to work for. I was hired during the Ballmer era, and the company today is incredibly different: fun, innovative, compassionate, and everything is firing on all cylinders. You'll work hard... I mean, REALL HARD. But you'll love it.
You have to love what you do passionately and love learning, because that's what every single day will be. If you want to do the same thing every day, this isn't the job for you. It can be hard to maintain work-life balance because it's so easy to work wherever you have internet connectivity.
Just keep doing what you're doing. THIS is where technology is happening.
