Brand name, nothing else. A wastage of time and energy.
I worked in the Finland Hololens team for several years. From my experience, it was the worst place to work in. Discrimination, nepotism, toxic politics – name anything, and you will find it there.
Management is filled with incompetent people whose only qualification is pleasing the manager. Their strategy is to hire people through contract agencies and orally promise a full-time contract later on. Then, they make them work for several years. If you are not in their 'pleasing the manager' group during that time, you are no longer needed.
Hard-working, qualified, talented people are pushed away. In their place, incompetent, unqualified people get promotions. It's probably the only place where you will find people without even a school education in supervisor positions at nanofabrication facilities.
Unethical business practices are everyday practice. A word means nothing there, and managers lie like nothing I have ever seen before. Overall, it was a nightmare which continued for several years. It is far from the picture they advertise as a brand.
First round phone call with the talent team. We discussed their experience and the roles they have in the space. Then, we moved on to some technical questions and talked about the rest of the interview process.
Fast and quick, but the questions were tricky. The interviewer was nice, and we got along well. The interview process was efficient, and communication was clear throughout. I appreciated the professionalism and friendliness, though preparation is key
This was a standard coding screen: a technical coding challenge with your language of choice (I used Python) in a CoderPad-like editor. This followed an initial recruiter screen, which was just to make sure the resume and job matched.
