Pros
  • MSFT brand in your CV
  • Customer-facing role
Cons
  • Heavily opting the BROs culture!
  • No career path/coaching for Non-FTEs staff.
  • Salary increases/bonuses are all back to leader's guesstimate factor, with no fair, clear, and achievable KPIs.
  • Some leaders set unclear challenges full of buzzwords.
  • The technical learning curve becomes flat quickly, in a year or max 2, depending on your prior experience.
  • Non-FTEs are not treated, nor have responsibilities, nor have career progression like full-time employees.
  • Conversion from a Non-FTE to a full-time employee is based on a manager's subjective favor; no fair opportunities are given to all.
  • No HR, no rules protecting your rights and benefits when you leave, and labor law allows companies to shift contract types against Non-FTEs.
Advice to Management

High turnover for non-FTEs. If you want to avoid business impact and retain talent, at least when it's possible, provide fair opportunities to all when it comes to career and salary progression.
